Production Optimization & Business Re-Engineering Consultant for Ready-made Garment Sector

Specific activities of the assignment will include:
Planning & Organizational Design:  Product Lifestyle Process Mapping, Identification of Accountability Gaps, Manufacturing Strategy & Goal Setting, Key Performance Indicator Development, Documenting Standard Operating Procedures, Short- & Long-Term Target Setting vis-à-vis International benchmarks.
Planning & Design for Re-Engineering Process:  Redesign production process/layouts, Manpower requirement design, Quality Assurance System design, Work Handling/Storage Systems design, Recruitment of middle management roles for the company.
Training:  Train middle managers on manufacturing best practices, Train operators on AAMT (Advanced Analytical Method of Training) principles, Train middle management on Standard Operating Procedures.
Implementation:  Operator recruitment and training, Layout & process design implementation, Engineer garment operations/workplace design, Implement Industrial Engineering functions, Install Quality Assurance processes, Engineer the cutting/finishing rooms, implement factory control systems, build-up efficiency and production.
Follow-up:  Identify any manpower gaps to be finalized, incentive-based payment for operators.

Skills Sets required:
Prior successful experience as a Consultant to ready-made garment manufacturers who are engaged in the process of improving their Production Processes, Quality Systems and Product Delivery to their Customers.  Prior work with Emerging Market manufacturers STRONGLY preferred.
Previous hands-on experience in improving (emerging market manufacturer) productivity levels, streamlining manufacturing processes, creating the foundation for & training staff in 'best practices' and business re-structuring.  This will be focused mainly on fabric warehousing, cutting, sewing, and finishing.  It is NOT focused on pattern making, sample approval, or wet processes.
Must be capable and experienced in writing operational manuals, implementing a Key Performance Indicator - Performance-based operation, establishing Industrial Engineering, Production Monitoring and Quality Assurance Systems, Training via the AAMT method, Attaining Production Efficiency improvements.
Experience in working with all levels of personnel; from shop floor to Owner.  Part of the role will focus on coaching the upper management to implement new practices.
Must be able to think on your feet, provide consultative feedback, and also write reports as required by the scope of work.
Must have Garment / Soft-Goods manufacturing experience; PREFERABLY highly-experienced in working with emerging market countries.
Should be fluent in English.  Language capability in Arabic also welcomed!
