Production/Lean Manufacturing Engineer Consultant

PAC seeks experienced candidates with significant prior background in manufacturing, production, quality systems, engineering, consulting.

Senior Consultant #1: Qualifications and Skills:

• University Degree in Engineering preferably in an applied technical /production field,

• Ability to conduct and coach training sessions/workshops to various levels of audience,

• Strong leadership skills, ability to work with a wide range of individuals and organisations, including government agencies, consultants, and enterprises;

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite.

• Knowledge/experience of Egypt’s trading environment within the context of small- and medium-sized enterprises.

• Excellent reporting and presentation skills;

• Good computer and reporting skills.

• Has at least 12 years of solid experience in the field of production management and planning in the white good industry sector, particularly within the context of small and medium enterprises; Relevant experience in product design is also desirable,

• Has at least 4 years of solid experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Process Mapping and Factory lay-out optimisation,

• At least 4 years experience in supplier development in related industry,

• Deep knowledge on Problem Solving techniques and Layered Process Audit,

• Proven practice in cost reduction and waste elimination techniques within the industry,

• At least 4 years of experience of operating as a consultant and/or trainer with SMEs,

• Successfully conducted a similar assignment for a group of suppliers approved from a recognised white good Manufacturer is an asset.

Senior Consultant #2 - (ISO 9001:2000 preparation):

This senior expert will prepare companies to obtain ISO 9000:2001 certificates. The minimum requirements of this expert are as follows:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. A post graduate degree is preferable;

• Previous experience in undertaking a similar assignment in the past 5 years;

• IRCA registered. (International Register of Certificated Auditors)

• At least 10 years previous experience in developing & implementing Quality Management System.

• Successfully completed 10 similar assignments in QMS, where companies were granted related certificates.

• Professional experience in consulting private-sector companies in the establishment and implementation of quality management systems.

• Previous experience in working with notification bodies that have European Accreditation.

• Engineering industry experience are highly preferred

• Adequate knowledge of the Egyptian industry infrastructure and business environment ;

• Excellent reporting and presentation skills;

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite.

• Good computer and reporting skills.

Senior Consultant #3 - (Business Development):

This senior expert will be experienced in Business Management consulting. The minimum requirements of this expert are as follows:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline. A post graduate degree is preferable;

• Minimum of 15 years previous hands-on experience within a multinational corporation;

• A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in the area of developing and implementing business plans.

• A minimum of 4 years of providing consultation services to SMEs in the area of management and business development, preferably in the field of engineering.

• Previous experience in developing business plans for SMEs in Egypt.

• Previous experience in undertaking a similar assignment in the past 5 years;

• Good knowledge of Financing, marketing and HR activities;

• Adequate knowledge of the Egyptian industry infrastructure and business environment;

• Excellent reporting and presentation skills;

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite.

• Good computer and reporting skills.
